In plain English: we collect the bare minimum needed to run a travel website. We never sell your data. You can ask us to delete it at any time. The full version is below.
Trip Happens ("we", "us", "our") operates triphappens.travel. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, the third-party services we rely on, and your rights.
We do not collect payment information. Every purchase that begins on Trip Happens completes on a third-party site (Amazon, hotel booking platforms, tour operators, etc.) and is handled by them.
When you click an affiliate link on Trip Happens, the destination site (e.g., Amazon, a hotel booking platform) may set a cookie that tracks whether you make a purchase, so they can credit Trip Happens a small commission if you do. This is industry-standard and never increases what you pay. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — the site will still work, you'll just see fewer personalised ads on other sites.
See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full picture of how Trip Happens earns money.
The following services may receive limited data when you use this site:
Each of these services has its own privacy policy that governs how it uses any data it receives.
We collect what we need to run the site, nothing more. We never sell your data. You can leave at any time, take your data with you, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@triphappens.travel for anything privacy-related and a real human will reply.
Trip Happens is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, email hello@triphappens.travel and we will delete it immediately.
Any updates will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the next newsletter so you have a chance to opt out before they take effect.
Questions about this policy, or about your data: hello@triphappens.travel.
